MEMORY is an installation about our memories and the past in our life. I believe that constantly we are influenced by our past experiences, which change our ways of view. Last year I was inspirited by the exposition “Padiglione Italia” at the Biennale of Venice. It was named “Codice Italia” (Code of Italy) and it speaks about the past of my nation through 16 artworks of different artists. I am fascinated by this aspect and I create an installation where there are three memories of my childhood (3 drawings).
These memories “live” in a silent room and when someone enters in their space there is an interaction between human and memories. The noise, created by people in the room, disturbs the calm of memories as if the presence of human breaks the word where they live. The noise produces an interactive graphic that covers the images and block us to watch our past. Only when we understand and respect the space of our memories we could move in the room without that the images of memories will be covered.
